Hikaru29 | I know traditionally the emphasis is on Sun-Moon but some have said that Moon-Moon compatibility is equally important but often overlooked. I checked the charts of my closest friends and boyfriend/ex-boyfriends and found that most of them have compatible Moons with me (with some we also have compatible Suns but not necessary compatible Sun-Moon), so Moon-Moon compatibility seems to work for me more. Also, I have a earth Sun and fire Moon so people with Sun-Moon compatibility with me will not have Moon-Moon compatibility with me and vice versa. So it seems that I can never have the best of both worlds. What's your experience? |
anonymidarkness | Moon/Moon is like "oooh loook we are sooo similar, same taste, same movies, hell we chase the same chicks!!! ooo lala" Sun/Moon is the meeting of Yin and Yang, perfectt when other factors support it. |

Exactly this is how I've experienced it. With Moon/Moon It's like yeah we talk and are similar. But with Sun/Moon It's sweet I'm the Sun person. |

In what sense it's sweet? |
ChildofVenus | You can have compatible Moons and have Sun/Moon. Like I have Aquarius Moon. And I'm friends with someone who has a Sagittarius Moon. And we have Sun/Moon but their Moon is in late degree Sagittarius. I have Sun in Taurus the Sun trine Moon aspect is at one degree. |
DreamCatcher | I dunno, I've had both...Sun/Moon is always a natural affinity with the person, pretty immedaite. Moon/Moon to me is so sweet , tender anf intutiive. You just get each other...but to me, Sun/Moon feels more 'soul mate ' like, including friendships. |

I've experienced Sun/Moon in the same sign though not conjunct and I don't get the soulmate feel. Maybe we have other problems such as Moon oppose Moon.

capricorncheriscty | I don't have many moon-moon relationships. The ones I do, it is not really one of close buddies or anything. We are acquaintances, frendly and cordial with one another, and we do have many similar tastes but that's about it. We don't really talk much, I've noticed with Moon-Moon relationships, we have quick and nice conversations about small things we love and are doing with our lives. Nothing ever goes very deep in our conversations or general interactions. Now that I am thinking about it, most of my closest friendships have actually been Sun-Moon relationships. I don't know what to say for romantic partnerships, though I do think it is important to be friends with your partner so I agree Sun-Moon would be very important. Or maybe even both would be nice! It's not necessary of course, just a thought. |
capricorncheriscty | I think Moon-Moon can make you feel like siblings which is why it feels a bit less "spark-filled" than the Sun-Moon. It's a very mundane, chilled out and familial placement compared to Sun-Moon, which I agree is more like a spark of natural affinity. Sun is heat and Moon is water. Imagine putting a spark of electricity in the water. It makes for an immediate interest of friendship or companionship. Not love necessarily, but it's like you two are sparking up the same current. It's good for companionship of all kinds to know you are on the same wavelength. |
StoneMoon | I have had more Sun Moon contacts than Moon Moon. Many more actually, And while I don't feel soulmate vibes necessarily,, they have all definitely been important to me in learning life lessons. The ones that I really connected with, enough to know their birth day and chart! I think what i would like and prefer in romantic relationships is something that resonates. I don't know that i need a conjunction, but for example... I have a Cap Moon. I would like a Moon in 10th I think, because we would have some bit of a connection. So a Leo Moon could get on well with a 5th house Moon, and etc... or someone maybe who's Sun aspected their Moon? |
Hikaru29 | I'm quite the odd one then because when I find someone who agrees with how I feel and enjoys similar things, I fall in love or become close confidante. Haha.. I've a Taurus Sun and with friends with earth/water moon I didn't fall in love. My ex is a Sag and I've a Sag moon but I wasn't attracted to him either. Sun/Moon somehow did not create love attraction for me. |

The Sun-Moon synastry is not love attraction, it's just affinity. Affinity is important for all kinds of relationships but this particular placement is not the only source of affinity that can be found in synastry so I don't think all relationships would have this. It's just one of them. Moon-Moon is less like an affinity and more like you do well in an acquaintance or sibling way. Your souls are similar, though you walk different paths (incompatible suns). Not that you two would be siblings or acquaintances, but you two work with each other in such a way. You know how you and your siblings can be similar souls/same dna but your paths in life are so different you can be polar opposites at times? And that's why some siblings have a hard time becoming truly close. They share the same dna but there is something different about the path they've chosen that makes it hard to connect on the physical plane. They can work together and be emotionally attuned to one another but there is still so much different about their inner personalities. Sometimes that's a good thing or bad thing, just depends on the people. I think Moon-Moon is like that. A spiritual connection and Sun-Moon is like the reality connection. Sun-Moon is more like saying you can become besties or close coworkers or close anything in a shorter amount of time because one's ego/personality is aligned with the other's emotional state/soul. If that makes sense. |

How about 2 people with compatible moon-moon as well as compatible sun-sun? Anyway, most of my besties have compatible moons with me. |
Brenda_S | This guy has his Sun and Mars square my moon, so don't think that 'statistically' it would be the same attraction as the conjunct... But I am very attracted to him. Our Sun's and Moon's are compatible. (Pisces-Taurus and Leo-Gemini) Although the attraction might very well come from the square too. |

Some find the square even more attractive just that not high in compatibility. But you have compatible suns and moons so that definitely helps. I personally find compatible moons very nice and comforting. E.g. with compatible moons we often understand each other's emotions and we are in sync/agreement. With incompatible moons, we are often not in agreement of how we feel e.g they will tell me they feel very angry over a particular matter and for the life of me, I can't understand why. But I have less of this problem with compatible moons. |
